At the MOA, we are here to serve our members. From the veterans of the osteopathic profession, to a first year practitioner or an up and coming medical student, we are here to provide you with a network of DO's to connect with and learn from. 

  • Serves as the professional family for DO's in Michigan.

  • Continuing Medical Education: MOA is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to offer nearly 50 AOA Category 1-A CME credits each year on a wide range of relevant medical topics, including AOA certified specialty credits. MOA members receive CME at a substantial discount for Spring and Autumn Conventions. Other CME opportunities are listed on the CALENDAR OF EVENTS

  • Advocacy: The Michigan Osteopathic Association serves as your voice before the state legislature, when communicating with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) and insurance carriers. We represent the osteopathic profession in Michigan.

  • Leadership Development: Serve on one of MOA’S MANY COMMITTEES to become directly involved your profession and shape the future of health care.

  • Public Relations: The MOA informs the public, other health care colleagues, business and legislators of the importance of osteopathic medicine. On community health issues, the MOA works to shape policy and participate in awareness campaigns that directly affect the health of Michigan residents.

  • Staff Assistance: The MOA staff are available to answer your questions as well as assist in issues affecting your medical practice and profession. You can find a particular staff person using the STAFF DIRECTORY, or use the general CONTACT FORM, or call (800) 657-1556.
  • Referral Service: Patients call for referrals to a MOA member physician because they know they will receive exceptional care. The MOA website offers the public a "FIND a DO", driving patients to your your practice. 

  • Member Benefits & Resources: Office and financial services, car rentals, subscriptions, cellular phone services and other great services are all available at discounted rates for members. Resources also include a NEW PHYSICIAN's GUIDE to the FUTURE, OMT Coding & Billing guide, It's what we DO and Emergency Medical Record cards.

  • Insurance: MOA members and their staff can participate in various INSURANCE programs including Health, Vision Services Plan, Delta Dental options, medical malpractice, professional liability, long/short-term disability, group and individual options, with flexible programs that offer quality products at competitive rates. 

  • Information: The MOA weekly e-newsletter, MOA PULSE, the quarterly journal TRIAD, the online MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY as well as the MOA WEBSITE keep you current on what’s happing in the medical profession in Michigan.
