Course description:
The main concepts and procedures taught in the basic course will be reviewed throughout this course. From the fundamental introduction and experiences of the Living Bioenergy Field and the use of vibration on the physical body, this course is designed to expand the knowledge and develop the skills to realize that the Living Bioenergy Field is the place for the Osteopathic physician to put his primary focus. To learn that changes in the Living Bioenergy Field will result in a change in the physical body. The better the Osteopathic physician is able to change his awareness from physical/material world to the invisible bioenergy world and vibration, the more effective the treatment will be.

This course is designed to provide the science and experiences to develop the awareness of one’s own Living Bioenergy Field in order to resonate with that of the patient both in diagnosis and treatment. To further the fundamental principle of vibration and the percussion hammer, as taught by Dr. Fulford, to affect a correction of the traumatic forces locked in the Living Bioenergy Field resulting in a treatment correction (Normalization) in the physical body.

Prerequisite: Basic Percussion Hammer Course.

Speaker Profiles

Dr. KossRichard W. Koss, DO, S-SPOMM, C-ACOFP is residency-trained and board certified in the Osteopathic principles and practice called, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM). In 1990 Dr. Koss became a protege of Dr. Robert C. Fulford, a strong proponent of diagnosing and treating the whole person, not just the physical symptoms. Dr. Koss has furthered the principals of OMM and Fulford in his practice and through lectures and courses. "My entire view and understanding of osteopathic principals were radically changed when I witnessed the miraculous results that Dr. Fulford was able to achieve in treating both children and adults." While working with Dr. Fulford from 1990-97, Dr. Koss assisted in teaching 22 basic courses and 15 advanced courses. Through the years Dr. Koss has continued to refine OMM techniques in both evaluating the patient and providing guided table training to get the basic concepts across by utilizing the Fulford percussion hammer. In addition to the U.S., his lectures and courses have taken him to Japan, Italy, Russia, Brazil and Switzerland.

Dr. StagerWilliam H. Stager, DO, MS, MPH, FAAFP, FAAMA, FAAO, FACOFP dist. Dr. Bill Stager has BA (Philosophy)(1983) and MS (Anatomy)(1984) degrees from Rutgers University, an undergraduate OPP Fellowship and DO degree from NSUCOM in 1989, and MPH from ATSU in 2009. He completed a rotating internship at Humana South Broward Hospital in 1990. He has been in holistic private practice combining NMM/OMM, Family Medicine, and Medical Acupuncture in the Palm Beach area since 1990. He is Board Certified in NMM/OMM and Family Medicine, and is a Fellow of the AAFP, AAO, and AAMA, and a Distinguished Fellow of the ACOFP. He has taught NMM/OMM and Family Medicine to hundreds of medical students, interns, residents and physicians all over the USA, Canada, Norway, and China and has published over 200 articles and papers in health and fitness magazines and several in peer-reviewed medical journals. He is section editor and contributing author of the 2014 2nd edition of the ACOFP textbook Somatic Dysfunction in Osteopathic Family Medicine. He is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at NSUCOM and Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at LECOM. He is a Life Member of the AAO and Osteopathic Cranial Academy, and an active member of the AOA, FOMA, AAO, ACOFP, FSACOFP, and FAO, serving on various committees and boards, including: the AOA House of Delegates (2006-present), FOMA President (2015-2016), FOMA President-Elect (2014-1015), FOMA 1st Vice President (2013-2014), FOMA 2nd Vice President (2012-2013), FOMA Director-at-Large (2009-2013), FOMA District 9 President (2006-present), FSACOFP President (2008-2009), the two-term FAO President (2006-2008, 2008-2010), and NSUCOM Alumni Association Executive Committee President (2015-2016), and Trustee (2007-2015). Fulford Intermediate Course Goals and Objectives

Goals

To deepen the knowledge of the Living Bioenergy Fields in both the participant and the patient. To deepen the understanding of fascia in the interplay between the energy fields and the physical body. To understand the role of fascial in absorbing and mitigating traumatic forces. To understand the use of vibration in diagnosis (use of the mind) and treatment (via the use of the percussion hammer) as pioneered by Robert C. Fulford, DO.

Objectives

By the end of the course the participant will be able to:

Develop a greater ability to understand the fundamental principle of vibration in the construct of the universe. And employ these in both diagnoses and treatment using the percussion vibrator.

Increase the understanding of the fascia as the organ involved in the transition/ materialization of the Living Bioenergy Field into its physical expression in the growth, development, and maintenance of the physical body.

Develop the skills needed to evaluate the vibrations of normal life in the human body. And the palpatory skills needed to diagnose abnormal frequencies within the physical body as a result of trauma.

Refine the use of the percussion hammer in Osteopathic treatment as an instrument to work with the traumatic energy fields locked in the Normal Living Bioenergy Fields.

Use these concepts with the percussion hammer on key areas of the body typically used in Osteopathic treatment.

Understand the indications and contraindications in the use of the percussion hammer.

Prerequisite: Basic Percussion Hammer Course. You must provide year attended and instructor.

Statement of Accreditation: The Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. MOA designates this program for a maximum of 24 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity.

Cancellation Policy: Requests for refunds must be received by email or phone call by September 1, 2022 and will entitle registrant to a full refund less a $200 fee.
