The Amway Grand Plaza amenities include guest rooms with complimentary WiFi, a 42-inch HDTV and laptop-sized safe. Choose from five styles of suites – varied amenities include a dining area, full kitchen, marble shower and downtown or Grand River views. Indulge in a massage or manicure at the Spa and Salon. The Amway Grand Plaza offers parking across the street in the Amway Grand Plaza Ramp, 216 Pearl Street NW.. The parking structure is connected to the hotel via an enclosed skywalk. Special parking rates apply for overnight guests. Valet parking is available.

Traffic Alert for Saturday morning: The annual Art Van Santa Parade, "Sounds of the Season," will take place Saturday morning. The Parade will start at 9 am at the corner of Michigan St. NW and Monroe Ave., move down Monroe Ave., past the Amway Grand Plaza, concluding just past the intersection of Fulton St. and Monroe Ave.

MOA Scientific Research Exhibit Competition

The Michigan Osteopathic Association hosts a Scientific Research Exhibit (SRE) twice yearly. These competitions provide osteopathic medical students, residents, fellows and attending level physicians an opportunity to present their medical and scientific research to our profession. The SRE competition demonstrates the very best of what osteopathic medicine is and reaffirms the profession’s commitment to the advancement of science in osteopathic medicine.

Practice Managers Conference

The MOA offers the Practice Managers Conference as a part of the Autumn Convention to enhance the function of DO member practices. The comprehensive program covers various topics, with enlightening speakers with extensive industry knowledge and personal experience.

Connect to one of the fastest-growing health care professions in the country. Over the past 30 years, the number of osteopathic physicians (DOs) practicing in the U.S. has more than tripled. The MOA Autumn Convention attracts more than 350 osteopathic physicians, interns, residents and healthcare professionals, including practice managers, who are engaged in an educational and hands-on learning forum. Visit with physicians during scheduled breaks throughout the day. This convention attracts DOs from all over the state and Grand Rapids is a fantastic location for attractions, dining, entertainment and more.

Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be in writing by mail or email by October 31, 2018 and will entitle registrant to a full refund less a $50 processing fee.

Statement of Accreditation
AOA Credit: The Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The MOA designates this program for a maximum of 24-26 AOA category 1-A credits and will report continuing medical education and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician’s participation in this activity. 

Nurses: The AOA is approved by the Board of Nursing as an acceptable provider of continuing education for license renewal.

Outcomes Measurement Survey: 2 additional AOA Category 1-A credits offered for completing an online survey post-convention.
